Prescription Drug Take Back

Prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths!

Saturday, October 29, 2022 · 9:30 AM - 2 PM

UMBC is participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) annual National Rx Take Back campaign on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Bring your unwanted, unused, and expired prescriptions to the UMBC Police station from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you are unable to drop in on Saturday, please email Bruce Perry, Deputy Chief of Police, at bperry1@umbc.edu to set up a time to drop off your medication.

Pop-Up: Beverage Bar


The Pop-Up Beverage Bar series is back! It's cold and flu season, so we're focusing on foods to help boost immunity so you can stay well. Stop by the Office of Health Promotion to speak with our Peer Health Educators and learn about what foods can help boost your immunity while enjoying a hot cup of chocolate or tea.

A community can be a vital tool to help all of us get through life's ups and downs and celebrate our big and small moments. Community Conversations is an interactive event that will help students understand the role of community in supporting their well-being and mental health. This conversation will also highlight what it means to "show up" for others.

Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully bringing one's attention into the present moment without judgment. Join the Office of Health Promotion and the Initiatives for Identity, Inclusion and Belonging (i3b) to pause and connect with yourself, others, and the space around you. Each week, you will have the opportunity to practice mindfulness
